A COACH YOU CAN
TEACHER WHO’S BEEN THROUGH IT
I started from scratch and have probably made all the mistakes you have and then some. That not only gives me a ton of patience, but helps me understand exactly what you’re struggling with and exactly how I can help you improve. And I'm only getting better.
A PROVEN PATH TO SUCCESS
Once we identify which speech patterns need work, I let you know how to change them. I make this super easy through a unique system where we effectively use the phonology of your native language to help you sound native in any variety of Spanish.
FEEDBACK THAT WORKS
While kids pick up accents easily, adults need clear and thoughtful feedback to improve their pronunciation. I'll show you where your tongue goes, how to think about producing the sound, and everything else you need to master your new accent.
WHAT THEY'RE SAYING
Ruben's got it all. You can tell he knows his stuff. He has fun and engaging methods of getting you to think about pronunciation in new and dynamic ways.

What's the difference between accents? What stands out? I'll give you answers before our first session so we can start off with a solid plan
Let yourself try out new sounds that don't exist in your native language. Consider every sound in this new accent slightly different. You may find what sounds silly to you sounds extremely natural to native speakers
Try to pronounce the word with your 'old' accent and your 'new' one.
We're not forgetting or removing old pronunciation; we're holding them up next to each other and hearing the unique differences. Hollywood here we come!
You won't only get consistent feedback from me, my personal word lists and practice guides. We'll also utilize a combination of sites that will save you hours. Add to that verifying your pronunciations with all the special people in your life and we got ourselves a party!
Once we can confidently replicate these new variations of sounds, rhythmic patterns, and intonations, you'll be ready to take this new accent out for a spin. The goal isn't to be thinking hard in conversation. We rely on our weeks of training and let the muscle memory take over.
